   Looks like I spoke too soon. I just barely missed getting to the post office in time today. The rod will go out Monday.
   
   I used a 3 ounce (smallest, listed at 2.8 I think) Browning Black Canyon reel, which worked well, although I would not recommend that particular reel if you were in the market for one. Changing spools is too much of a pain. I think something in the 3-3.5 ounce range should work. In terms of line, I actually preferred a three weight forward, but a two would work if you wanted a little faster. I never had a one weight to try on it.
